The Commissioning Process is the owner’s quality-assurance process for achieving, verifying, and documenting the performance of buildings, systems, and assemblies against defined objectives and criteria. Commissioning begins during the design phase and continues through construction, and operations. Commissioning ensures that buildings and structures operate as the owner intended. The goal of building commissioning is to uncover and address issues with the installation and performance of building systems in order to help the building perform at optimal levels. Because it doesn’t matter how technologically advanced or expensive your building systems are, if they are not installed or balanced as designed you will be spending too much on utilities.
Bender Engineering and Construction offers commissioning services for those seeking LEED™ certification, basic commissioning or retro-commissioning/energy audits (existing buildings) and California Green Building Code Commissioning. We will identify potential energy saving measures, estimate payback, provide as-built drawings and oversee the implementation of the energy saving measures.
