Jeff Bender is the president of Bender Engineering and Construction.  As President, Jeff leads the Bender team in all aspects of the business. This includes engineering, construction, HERS ratings, commissioning, LEED consulting and green ratings, accounting, payroll, and marketing.Jeff is passionate about energy efficiency, which shows in the various services Bender Engineering and Construction provides. Jeff is a professional mechanical engineer in California, Nevada and Hawaii and a licensed general contractor in California and Nevada.   Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.


Kyle is an engineer in training with Bender Engineering and Construction. In this role, Kyle looks after aspects of engineering, commissioning, and HERS. This includes CalCERTS, field testing, UFV design and engineering design. Kyle is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Nevada, Reno. Kyle also has experience in general labor in the commercial concrete industry. Kyle’s varied background in construction and engineering provides the perfect foundation for his role in the company. A big believer in energy savings and efficiency, Kyle supports green building solutions. Passionate about energy and emissions and its possibilities, Kyle provides services that utilize energy, emissions, and construction to lower the carbon footprint.

Michael Scott is a Site Manager with Bender Engineering. In this role, Michael looks after all aspects of home construction, including carpentry, management, and upkeep of the site. Before joining Bender Engineering, Michael spent years in as many trades as he could, including high end furniture design, graphic design, landscaping, construction, and home maintenance. This varied background has prepared Michael to work on and manage construction sites.Michael is a qualified Industrial Designer and holds a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology.  Michael is also OSHA 30 certified. Passionate about quality work and its possibilities, Michael provides a constant hold on the activities on a job site. This provides a constant feedback loop between workers and lead contractors. By both assisting and organizing the workers, Michael keeps work flow moving by staying on schedule and filling in gaps between contracted work.
